Refund policy

Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

All prescription eyewear is custom made, custom fitted, and custom cut. All sales are final. We do not offer any returns or refunds on eyeglasses or sunglasses. See below for specific exemptions to this policy.

 

Frame Exchange:  Available within 30 days of being dispensed and a $30 exchange fee. If the frame is causing noticeable irritation and the optician has attempted an adjustment, an exchange is permissible after a complete return of the frame and lenses, both undamaged in its entirety. If the new frame costs more than the original, the cost difference will be due at time of exchange. If it is less, no refunds are given. A new set of custom cut lenses will be made for the new frame free of charge. 

Redo Measurements: Customer has 60 days from dispensed date to begin a remake at no charge. Please schedule a troubleshooting appointment to assess whether new measurements are necessary. 

Prescription Remakes: A new prescription is required within 60 days of being dispensed to begin a remake at no charge. Please schedule a troubleshooting appointment with validation of updated prescription.

Scratch Warranty: Prescription lenses are eligible for a one time scratch warranty within one year of purchase. Subsequent remakes are considered new lenses at retail cost.

Frame Warranty: All new frames are eligible for a one year warranty against manufacturer defects. The frame will be exchanged for its identical item when available or any repair done free of charge. Damage and accidents are not subject to a manufacturer defect warranty. Sale items are not eligible for any warranties. 

Ordered Lenses: No refunds will be given after a lens order has been sent to the lab.

Order Delays: Typical order completion is between 10-20 business days. However, this may be affected due to shipping times if lenses are ordered from an outside lab. Customer will be notified of such delays. If this is a delay in obtaining of necessary documents to complete order such as but not limited to; prescription, measurements, and signed HIPAA. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide such documents or make arrangements for them to be completed in store. Refunds will not be provided if customer fails to provide a prescription, but the order will be held until such time that the prescription is provided.

Sale items: Final Sale: Non-prescription sale items cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged.

Shipping: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs to and from Lumos Optical. Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable. 

Additional non-returnable items: Gift cards 

Refunds are only issued on the 15th of the month and may take 10 business days to process.
